Sarah’s early musical beginnings were banging on pots and pans. Then Sarah began singing at age three when her mother bought her a microphone from Fisher Price and she never stopped singing. Her musical style is modern country rock, which came from multiple influences during her childhood listening to: The Mamas and the Papas, The Beach Boys, Patsy Cline, and various classic 1940’s country artists. Sarah’s parents always had some music playing in the background at home while she was growing up, in fact her father wired the entire house with speakers inside and out. Sarah remembers getting in trouble when she was at her grandparents house (on her father's side of the family.) Her punishment would be to sit on the organ bench. Little did she know that her "timeouts" would turn into Sarah and her grandfather playing a duet! Sarah’s grandfather on clarinet and she on the family's organ. Sarah now thinks it paid off being the only girl with so many rowdy boys in her family! She came to realize looking back that what she had thought was a punishment would turn out to be one of her most precious memories and may have lead to her pursuits in music. After graduating with her Bachelor or Arts degree in music, Sarah moved to Nashville, TN and began writing original songs. She has been recording and releasing her music since moving to Music City. 10,000 lakes gave Sarah Ashley options of who she wanted to be, and a Fisher Price mic in her 3-year-old hand sealed the deal. Music runs through the blood of this Minnesota native. Her outdoor, nature spirited, vibe just adds to her natural flare. Flipping a coin brought her to Nashville, but it’s not outright luck that she depends on any longer. With a Bachelor's degree in Musical Arts, a Master of Business Administration (with a concentration in Project Management), and a keen ear for musical production, she is a force to be reckoned with. Partnering with the Universe and translating natures natural imagery is her forte.
